Description:
Hidden in Plain Sight is not intended to scare adults, but to enlighten them
and provide them with support and local resources for dealing with teens’ risky
behavior. We want to help parents, adult family members, and other adults who
interact with youth to:
1. Understand the types of inexpensive, easily accessible products available
to youth to hide products commonly used as indicators of risky behavior “in plain
sight”
2. Recognize warning signs of ambivalent or possibly positive attitudes towards
substance use and abuse, both obvious and hidden
3. Practice skills for having tough conversations with young people in their
lives
4. Learn about resources available in their community
Please note, this workshop can be translated for parents who speak Spanish and Portuguese.
Living Skills In Schools is DCF licensed and CARF accredited.
